Steven Baxter (Club Vita) and Richard Willets (Paternoster & CMI) will survey:

• the alternatives available to actuaries wishing to move away from the cohort projections
• key considerations that consulting actuaries need to make when choosing a projection
• topical longevity issues

Particular focus will be given to the issues where actuaries need to engage with their clients to ensure that pension scheme trustees and sponsors fund appropriately for future improvements.
