Peter is an actuary and chairs Club Vita’s Supervisory Board, bringing 30 years’ of pensions experience to the role.
He is a Director of the independent trustee company BESTrustees plc, which he joined in April 2005 after having worked at Mercer for nearly 25 years. Peter was Chairman of the NAPF from 2001 to 2003. From August 2005 to March 2006 he was Interim Chief Executive of the corporate governance company RREV. From September 2006 to January 2008 he was a member of the Railway Pensions Commission which was set up to review pension provision in the railway industry.
Peter is a regular speaker and chairman at conferences and seminars. He has also contributed on pensions issues to news programmes on BBC, ITV and Channel Four, as well as Money Box and the Today programme. Peter’s Trustee clients at BESTrustees include J Sainsbury and Scottish Power.
