Douglas is a partner at Hymans Robertson, and is the inspiration behind the creation of Club Vita.

He has recently past his tenth anniversary of joining Hymans Robertson having previously spent the first ten years of his career performing ‘missionary’ work at the Government Actuary’s Department.

Douglas’ consulting work has been very varied, with work both in the private and public sectors. He advised the Deputy Prime Minister on demographic changes in local government, and has an active interest in improving longevity risk consulting techniques.

Douglas has had a life-long interest in ageing and long life. He says that it is in his blood, arising from his father’s influence as a pathologist.
